Several competing goals must be reconciled to achieve optimal ostrich growth from three months to harvest. The AOF Ostrich Grower formula delicately balances growth speed with bird health to minimize the incidence of physical abnormalities commonly associated with ostrich production, while maintaining the highest possible feed efficiency. AOF never compromises on the taste and quality of the resulting ostrich meat and additional byproducts.
Feeding Directions: Feed as the sole ration to ostriches 3-15 months of age. Ensure sufficient feeder space so all birds can eat simultaneously and ensure clean water is available at all times. Distribute into feeders; never on the bare ground. Protect from rain and direct sunlight once distributed, and discard remaining pellets from previous day onto ground before providing fresh feed. Expect to gradually increase daily feed from <3lbs/day at 3 months to 4-5lbs/day by 9 months.
Product Form and Packaging: 7/32" pellets; 50lb net weight paper sacks, 1-ton palletized totes, or bulk.
Storage: Store in cool (below 80F), clean environment free of moisture, insects, rodents, and pests. Do not distribute feed with signs of mold or other contamination. Use within one year of manufacturing date.
