Our Ostrich Feeds

OUR STORY.  When we set out to improve and expand the US ostrich industry, we were blown away by the phenomenal feed conversion ratio of ostriches – and realized this biological blessing makes proper nutrition absolutely paramount. The benefits – or problems – of any feed regimen are magnified by the efficiency with which ostriches convert feed into weight gain. Through experimentation, repeated reformulations, and numerous trials, AOF has developed what we believe to be the most nutritious line of ostrich-specific feeds ever created.

The existing ostrich feeds we found on the market were tweaked from formulas originally designed for chickens, turkeys, game birds, or other ratites – none had been designed from the ground up to meet the unique nutritional needs of ostriches.  So we made our own.  We have worked for several years with multiple feed manufacturers to perfect three age-specific rations that support maximum health and growth over the full ostrich lifecycle.

OUR PROMISE.  AOF feeds are always 100% vegetarian and never include any antibiotics, hormones, or other growth stimulants.  Our primary ingredients are carefully sourced barley, alfalfa, beet pulp, corn, soybean, wheat, molasses, and meticulously-balanced proprietary blends of vitamins & minerals.
