Ostrich Alfred-O

Ostrich steak on top of pasta

Say goodbye to normal chicken or shrimp Alfredo and hello to Ostrich Alfredo, sure to wow the guests and leave them wanting more! This easy homemade Alfredo recipe has a silky smooth texture with an interesting twist.

Ingredients

1 package of ostrich steak strips

2 tbsp butter

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1 clove garlic, minced

2 sprigs fresh rosemary

1 package fettuccine

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp crushed red pepper

Alfredo Sauce

½ cup butter

1 ½ cups heavy cream

2 tsp garlic, minced

½ tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

2 cups freshly grated Parmesan

 

Steak Preparation

Pat your steak dry to ensure the seasonings stick well. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.

Add butter to a medium skillet and allow to melt over medium-high heat.

Add fresh rosemary, minced garlic, and steak strips to the pan. Sear the steaks for 2 minutes on each side.

Continue cooking ostrich steak strips to your desired level of doneness (we recommend rare - medium rare), then remove to a plate and allow to rest while you prepare the sauce.


Alfredo Sauce Preparation

Add the butter and cream to a large skillet.

Bring to a simmer over low heat and cook for 2 minutes.

Whisk in the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper for one minute.

Whisk in the Parmesan cheese until melted.

 

Assembly

Cook Fettuccine according to package instructions while preparing steak and Alfredo sauce.

Mix Alfredo sauce into the noodles.

Top noodles with fresh chopped parsley and crushed red pepper for some extra heat.

Lay sliced ostrich steak on top of your homemade Fettuccine Alfredo and enjoy!
