Ingredients

1 lb. Ground Ostrich Steak

1 pack small flour taco tortillas

1 bell pepper

1/2 bag of shredded cheese

1 cup of sour cream

1/2 cup of mild hot sauce

1 packet of taco seasoning

1 large bottle of oil

1 pack of skewers

Preparation

Dice bell pepper.

Cook ground ostrich in a pan over medium heat.

Add taco seasoning and bell peppers to the ostrich as it's cooking.

Once meat is fully cooked, turn down to low heat and add sour cream, shredded cheese, and hot sauce to the pan and stir gently until it is well combined. Take mixture off stove.

Pour an inch of oil into a deep pan over high heat.

As the oil is heating up, roll the taquito filling into the tortillas. Add two skewers on each end into about 3 taquitos

Once oil is hot, fry your rolled up taquitos. Use tongs to gently set them down in the oil. We recommend wearing oven mitts to avoid hot oil splashing on skin.

Remove the taquitos using your tongs after they look golden. Set aside and cook the rest.

Enjoy with your choice of side!
